**Punjab Highway Patrol Rawalpindi Region Holds Honors Ceremony, Distributes Free Helmets, Launches Plantation Drive**
The Punjab Highway Patrol Rawalpindi Region recently organized a series of impactful community initiatives, including an honors ceremony for a distinguished officer, the distribution of free motorcycle helmets to deserving citizens, and the launch of a tree plantation drive to promote environmental awareness.
Under the leadership of DSP Patrolling Muhammad Irfan Butt, a special ceremony was held to honor Constable Arshad Mahmood, who was selected as an Assistant Sub-Inspector through the Public Service Commission examination. Staff members from all regional office branches attended the event, offering congratulations and best wishes to the promoted officer.
In a parallel initiative, the Patrolling Post Thakra Mor, in collaboration with Faisal Ramzan Haidri, CEO of Haidri Welfare Trust International Islamabad, Senior Patron Choudhry Sarfraz Nasir (UK), Chairman Haji Nisar Ahmed, and Vice Chairman Raja Taqeer Azhar, carried out the distribution of free helmets to underprivileged members of the community. This effort was aimed at improving road safety and encouraging the use of protective gear among motorcycle riders.
Additionally, the Patrolling Post Hattar, together with staff from the Department of Forests, initiated a tree plantation campaign. The program included an awareness walk, emphasizing the importance of environmental conservation and community engagement.
