PEIRA collaboration to tackle private school challenges in Islamabad, with coordinated regulatory support and commitment to raise educational standards.

On 13 January 2026, Dr. Ghulam Ali Mallah, Chairman of the Private Educational Institutions Regulatory Authority (ICT-PEIRA), met with Dr. Rukhsana Khan, owner of Bright Beginning Education System and an elected member of the Board of Governors at FBISE Islamabad. Dr. Rukhsana Khan offered her congratulations on Dr. Mallah assuming charge and acknowledged his long-standing dedication to the education sector.

The discussion centred on the principal challenges confronting private schools in Islamabad and the practical steps needed to improve regulatory support and raise educational standards. Both parties underlined the importance of close coordination between school owners and regulators, stressing that sustained PEIRA collaboration is essential to create predictable, fair, and efficient oversight for private institutions.

Dr. Mallah reiterated PEIRA’s commitment to proactively address the concerns of private educational institutions and to promote a supportive, transparent, and quality-driven environment.
