Pakistan Ferrous and Non-Ferrous Metal Association held a Zoom meeting with consultants to review and finalise land selection for a new Metal Processing Zone. A detailed comparison of multiple proposed sites was presented and examined thoroughly during the session.
After careful consideration of technical, logistical and economic factors, the association finalised one location for the Metal Processing Zone. The decision represents a significant step forward in promoting industrial growth and modernisation in the country’s metals sector.
PFNFMA thanked the consultants and participants for their detailed input and efforts that helped reach the decision. Stakeholders noted that the Metal Processing Zone is expected to support local processing capacity, attract investment and strengthen supply chains once development proceeds.
Work will continue with consultants and relevant parties to advance necessary preparations for the selected site, ensuring the Metal Processing Zone meets required standards and contributes to broader industrial development goals.
