Prof. Dr. Iqrar Ahmad Khan, Chairperson of the Punjab Higher Education Commission, congratulated Prof. Dr. Muhammad Zia ul Haq on assuming responsibilities as Vice Chancellor of the University of Narowal and pledged the commission’s institutional backing.
The Chairperson underlined PHEC’s readiness to extend full cooperation and guidance to help realize the university’s strategic goals. He commended the comprehensive strategic transformation plan presented by the new vice chancellor, noting its clarity, foresight and emphasis on strengthening academic programs.
Prof. Khan highlighted the plan’s strong focus on academic excellence, research advancement and institutional growth, calling these priorities essential for the University of Narowal to raise standards and better serve students and faculty in Punjab. He described the proposal as aligned with the commission’s agenda for quality higher education across the province.
PHEC reaffirmed its commitment to support initiatives that bolster faculty development, expand research capacity and improve institutional governance. The commission said continued coordination with university leadership will be key to translating the strategic plan into tangible improvements and lasting impact for the higher education sector in Punjab.
