Prof. Dr. Iqrar Ahmad Khan (HI, SI), chairperson of the Punjab Higher Education Commission (PHEC), attended the 20th convocation of Beaconhouse National University as the guest of honour. His presence highlighted the provincial regulator’s engagement with university milestones and academic ceremonies.
The ceremony was attended by the Honorable Minister for Education, Rana Sikandar Hayat, who served as the chief guest. Vice Chancellor Dr. Moeed W. Yusuf presided over the event and presented the university’s annual report, outlining BNU’s global academic contributions and its efforts to support students.
The annual report paid particular attention to BNU’s extensive financial assistance programme, which benefited more than 800 newly enrolled students during the year. Such measures were portrayed as central to widening access to higher education for deserving students.
PHEC’s representation at the convocation underscores ongoing links between regulatory bodies and higher education institutions as universities mark academic progress and student support achievements.
