Islamabad, November 04, 2025 — Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Industries and Production, Haroon Akhtar Khan, visited the Pakistan Industrial Development Corporation (PIDC) today to review the corporation’s progress and upcoming initiatives.
The CEO of PIDC provided a detailed briefing on the organisation’s recent performance, current projects and strategic plans for the coming years. Mr Khan underlined that PIDC serves as the backbone of the country’s industrial structure and will play a central role in implementing the new industrial policy. Highlighting the strategic importance of the Karachi Industrial Park, Mr Khan noted the project’s potential to boost national exports, attract fresh investment and strengthen Pakistan’s industrial ecosystem. He emphasised that under the new industrial policy greater facilitation will be extended to local industries, with PIDC positioned to ensure effective on-the-ground delivery.
The Special Assistant reaffirmed the government’s commitment to industrial reforms, transparency and modern infrastructure, stressing that efficiency and accountability in ongoing PIDC projects remain top priorities. A comprehensive strategy is being developed to make PIDC’s role more effective and dynamic in driving sustainable industrial growth across Pakistan.
