PMYP Empowers Women Leaders with PAGE Foundation Partnership

The Prime Minister’s Youth Programme (PMYP) has announced a new partnership with the PAGE Foundation and several key collaborators to launch “Take the Lead”, an initiative dedicated to empowering women leaders across Pakistan. The launch event took place at PARCO Gunvor Limited (PGL) and brought together government representatives, business leaders, and activists committed to advancing women’s leadership in the country.

Representatives from a range of organizations attended the event, including Rizwan Anwar Virk, Special Representative of the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme; Nausheen Adnan, Parliamentary Secretary for Education in Punjab; Asif Iqbal, CEO of PARCO Gunvor Limited; and Fajer Rabia Pasha, Executive Director of the PAGE Foundation. Their participation highlighted the collaborative spirit and broad support behind the initiative.

“Take the Lead” is designed to provide leadership training, digital marketing skills, entrepreneurship education, and career development opportunities for 10,000 women across Pakistan. The program is supported by a coalition including the PMYP, Mexoxo, PARCO Gunvor Limited, and eCornell University. By offering these resources, the initiative seeks to help women gain critical skills to advance in their careers and contribute to national development.

Rizwan Anwar emphasized that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is strongly committed to promoting youth and women’s development in Pakistan. Under the leadership of Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan, the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme is partnering with leading organizations to achieve its mission of inclusive growth.

The PMYP reiterated its commitment to creating opportunities for young women, empowering them to realize their potential, and preparing them to play key roles in shaping the country’s future.
