PMYP Appoints Sheheryar Memon for Overseas Affairs and Trade

The Prime Minister’s Youth Programme has appointed Sheheryar Memon as Focal Person for Overseas Affairs and Business & Trade Linkages, a move intended to boost engagement with Pakistan’s diaspora, expand international trade ties, and integrate youth into economic development efforts. The appointment reflects the government’s emphasis on leveraging overseas connections and young talent to drive national growth.

Mr. Memon was named to the role by the Chairman of the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme. In this capacity, he will focus on strengthening Pakistan’s business presence abroad and fostering trade linkages that benefit the country’s economy.

Speaking after his appointment, Mr. Memon expressed gratitude for the trust placed in him and pledged to serve with full dedication. He highlighted that more than 60 percent of Pakistan’s population is young, calling youth “the backbone of the country’s sustainable growth and economic future.”

As Focal Person, Mr. Memon will collaborate closely with the Chairman of the PMYP, government institutions, and international stakeholders to promote Pakistan’s business potential overseas. He said building overseas linkages, expanding trade opportunities, and aligning young talent with global markets are key priorities to accelerate growth and support the government’s vision for a stronger, more prosperous nation.
