The Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA), together with the Pakistan Cultural Forum, held a cultural program in Islamabad to mark Defence Day and coincide with the observance of Eid Milad-un-Nabi. The event celebrated the country’s cultural heritage while paying tribute to the courage and sacrifices of Pakistan’s armed forces, martyrs, and Ghazis.
Organizers said the program carried a dual spirit, combining religious reverence with national pride. It aimed to honor those who defended the nation and to reflect on the unity and resilience that emerged from past conflicts.
The evening featured performances by prominent national artists and poets. Soulful national songs, poetry recitations, and cultural presentations highlighted Pakistan’s artistic traditions and emphasized respect for the armed forces’ bravery.
PNCA officials addressing the gathering described Defence Day as a solemn occasion to reaffirm national solidarity and remember the extraordinary bravery of the armed forces. Prayers were offered for the departed, with appeals for peace, prosperity, and the continued strength of the nation.
The audience included dignitaries, cultural figures, students, and citizens from diverse backgrounds, many of whom expressed deep admiration and pledged to uphold the values of courage, unity, and patriotism exemplified by the martyrs.
Through the event, PNCA reiterated its commitment to preserving the memory of national heroes, celebrating Pakistan’s cultural identity, and fostering a spirit of patriotism through the arts.
