A one-day teacher training workshop in Hasan Abdal brought together nearly 300 teachers from private and public schools through a joint initiative by Positive Solution and APPSKA. The event aimed to update educators on modern teaching trends, strengthen professional skills and reinforce ethical, social and academic responsibilities essential for classroom success.
Dr Atiq Raza, CEO of Positive Solution, led core sessions focusing on 21st century educational demands, student personality development, practical use of educational technology, strategies for resolving classroom challenges and building a positive classroom culture. He reminded participants that an effective teacher guides children to think, understand and move forward, emphasizing practical techniques teachers can apply immediately.
Haji Muhammad Hussain addressed the moral and social dimensions of teaching, underlining the teacher’s role in character formation, maintaining strong bonds with students, child rearing and classroom discipline. Speaking on wellbeing, he highlighted that Islam promotes holistic health—mental, spiritual and physical—and noted that a healthy teacher is central to nurturing a healthy generation. He encouraged teachers to adopt balanced lifestyles and positive attitudes to sustain their professional responsibilities.
The workshop featured prominent guests including APPSKA Central General Secretary Ashraf Haraj, Divisional President Irfan Mazafar Kiani, District President Tahir Mehmood Durrani and Schools Training Program Head Mian Ejaz Ahmad. Other attendees included Haji Changiz Khan, Haji Khizr Mehmood, Sheikh Mohammad Rafiqat, Taimur Sajid Khan, Bar Association General Secretary Malik Bashir, Press Club Chairman Haji Mohammad Rafiq Qadri, Press Club President Syed Hashim Ali Alvi, Mohammad Dilshad Janjua, Mohammad Waqar Tahir and Waqas Ahmed among other representatives.
In the closing session teachers received certificates, shields and commemorative gifts recognizing their participation. APPSKA Hasan Abdal President Chaudhry Waqar Ali and General Secretary Muhammad Ali Qureshi expressed gratitude to the trainers, guests and participating teachers, saying the training will serve as an important milestone in improving local educational standards. Organizers also announced plans to extend similar Teacher Training programs to Hazro and Attock, led by District President Mohammad Tahir Durrani and Program Head Mian Ejaz Ahmad.
The workshop reinforced the ongoing commitment of local education stakeholders to equip teachers with contemporary skills and values, ensuring that Teacher Training translates into stronger classrooms and better outcomes for students across the region.
