Power Play Day at Basic School F-8 highlighted inclusive education as students from IED to A-levels showcased courage, sportsmanship and community spirit.

Basic School F-8 Campus celebrated Power Play Day 2026 with energy and dignity as students from the Inclusive Education Department, pre-school and grades 3 through A-levels took part in a day focused on inclusion and character building. The Inclusive Education Department featured prominently, with pupils displaying confidence, courage and determination across sporting and classroom activities.

The event was chaired by Ms. Saba Mubashir, head of Khel Ittehad Hum Tarbiyat, with support from the school leadership and Dr. Muhammad Arshad Zia, who helped organise the programme. Their presence underlined the institution’s ongoing commitment to inclusive education and the development of social skills alongside academic learning.

Distinguished guests praised the students’ performances. Entrepreneur Ms. Masooma Kamal Zubair and national badminton gold medallist Mr. Shujaat Ali Khan commended the school for translating inclusive education into practical opportunities for every child. They said, “Power Play Day reflects the spirit of our collective spirit”, emphasising the value of community support for inclusive initiatives.

Certificates of appreciation and awards were presented to recognise hard work, perseverance and sportsmanship. The ceremony highlighted how events like Power Play Day reinforce teamwork and resilience while raising awareness about disability inclusion in school life.

Staff and organisers noted that the day strengthened ties between departments and families, and affirmed Basic School F-8’s role in promoting inclusive education across Islamabad.
