The Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund (PPAF) and its partner organizations are actively conducting household assessments in flood-affected areas of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) to ensure timely and equitable distribution of relief to the most vulnerable families.

In Union Council Sena Daman, Tehsil and District Hattian, the Hamza Development Foundation is assessing the extent of damages and identifying the urgent needs of residents. Special attention is being given to the most at-risk groups, including women-headed households, widows, people with disabilities, and the poorest families in the community.

Simultaneously, in Union Council Kundalshahi, Tehsil Athmuqam, District Neelum, the BERD Foundation is evaluating property and livelihood losses while identifying families that have been most severely affected by the recent floods.

The data gathered from these assessments will play a key role in determining the distribution of relief supplies such as food packs, hygiene kits, and other essential non-food items. These findings will also help in designing early recovery plans tailored to the specific needs of each community.

Throughout the relief process, the PPAF team will remain on the ground, working closely with its partners and local stakeholders to ensure that aid reaches those who need it most efficiently and transparently.
