Twenty-five bright female students from Gilgit-Baltistan visited the PPAF Islamabad office under the Continued School Support Project, gaining a close-up view of community-driven development in action. During the visit, PPAF management and program teams briefed the students on the organisation’s work, its participatory approaches and practical efforts to strengthen Girls Education and youth empowerment across Pakistan.
The exposure visit, organised in collaboration with the Mountain Institute for Education & Development MIED, included a series of educational and cultural excursions designed to broaden the students’ horizons. Delegates toured the National Assembly, visited PTV Headquarters, explored the Lok Virsa Museum and attended the annual Lok Mela, all of which enriched their understanding of national institutions and cultural heritage.
Officials from the Government of Gilgit-Baltistan and the Federal Ministry of Education and Professional Training worked alongside partners including UNICEF Pakistan to support the learning visit. The trip offered students tangible examples of how coordinated policy, community engagement and targeted support can advance Girls Education in remote regions.
The interaction strengthened the students’ awareness of development pathways and provided practical inspiration for future leaders. By seeing PPAF’s community-centred programs firsthand, the visitors gained insight into how local action and national partnerships combine to create meaningful change for girls and youth across Pakistan.
