Pakistan Peoples Party Promotes Sports as Key to Youth Development, Says PPP Punjab Vice President
Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Punjab Vice President, Malik Khalid Nawaz Bobi, has emphasized the partyโs longstanding commitment to promoting sports across the country, arguing that athletic activities play a vital role in steering the younger generation away from negative influences. Speaking at the prize distribution ceremony of the Royama Cup, held at the Shehbaz Sharif Sports Complex in Rawalpindi and organized by the Kyokushin Kan Organization Pakistan, Malik Khalid Nawaz highlighted the transformative effect of sports on society. He remarked that in countries where sports fields are bustling with activity, hospitals and jails see much less occupancy, underlining the preventive impact sports have on societal problems.
The event was attended by a large number of players and spectators, contributing to its lively atmosphere. Other notable speakers included PSF Rawalpindi General Secretary Malik Sabih Nawaz, President of PYO Rawalpindi Chaudhry Abdur Rahman Tawqlee, and Secretary Information PYO Rawalpindi Malik Umar Ejaz, who all underscored the importance of fostering positive activities for the youth.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, Sensei Kamran Khan, the chief organizer of the Royama Cup, expressed gratitude to the special guests, including Malik Khalid Nawaz Bobi, Malik Umar Ejaz, and Chaudhry Abdul Rahman Tawqlee, for their support. He noted that political leadership committed to advancing sports is crucial for sustainable growth and community well-being. During the ceremony, Malik Khalid Nawaz Bobi distributed prizes to top performers, acknowledging their hard work and dedication.
