Strengthening the PRCS and Norwegian Red Cross Partnership

The Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS) and the Norwegian Red Cross have agreed to strengthen their partnership to enhance humanitarian response, disaster preparedness, and community resilience efforts in Pakistan. Senior representatives from both organizations met at the PRCS National Headquarters in Islamabad to discuss ways to improve cooperation and better serve vulnerable communities across the country.

PRCS Chairperson Farzhana Naek and Ms. Fran Stevens, Deputy Regional Representative of the Norwegian Red Cross, led the discussions, which were also attended by PRCS Secretary General Muhammad Abaid Ullah Khan, Dr. Iftikhar Aliyar, Head of the Norwegian Red Cross in Pakistan, and other senior PRCS officials. The talks centered on sharing expertise, resources, and best practices to effectively tackle humanitarian challenges in Pakistan.

Both organizations reaffirmed their commitment to work together in line with the Fundamental Principles of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, emphasizing the importance of coordinated action during crises. The renewed partnership aims to strengthen disaster management strategies, improve emergency relief operations, and support long-term community development projects for the most vulnerable populations.
