The Parliamentary Reporters Association of Pakistan staged a press gallery walkout from the National Assembly following the forced removal of media personnel and police action at the National Press Club. Lawmakers and reporters clashed over the issue inside the chamber, prompting a coordinated response from the government.

Attaullah Tarar, Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting, arrived at the press lounge accompanied by MNA Syed Amin ul Haq and PIO Mubashir Hassan to meet with aggrieved journalists. The delegation listened to concerns about the forced evictions and the incident at the National Press Club and offered assurances that steps would be taken to address the situation.

The government team told reporters that implementation of the charter of demand would be prioritized after the attack on the National Press Club, and the matter would be raised on the floor of the house. The commitment aimed to calm tensions and provide a pathway for resolving the issues that led to the press gallery walkout.

President of the Parliamentary Reporters Association, M.B.
