Private Schools Network elects new Tarnol Zone leaders to boost community-run education and support low-income private schools in Islamabad.

The Private Schools Network continues to play a vital role in Islamabad’s educational landscape as low-income private institutions work through self-help to contribute to national learning goals. Dr. Muhammad Afzal Babar, founder and central president of the Private Schools Network, said in his address at the Tarnol zone election ceremony that achieving literacy targets for the federal capital cannot fall to any single government alone.

Dr. Babar recalled that the Private Schools Network has spent the last 26 years providing quality education to the new generations while also creating dignified employment opportunities for thousands of young people. He emphasized that unity and coordination are essential for progress and urged members to strengthen the agenda of the newly elected zonal office bearers.

The Tarnol zone elected Imtiaz Ali Khan as president and Shafiq Ahmed as general secretary for a three-year term. Madam Sonia Faraz and Raheel Yusuf were chosen as senior vice presidents, Zahid Mahmood as vice president, Mohammad Rashid as contact secretary, Sanaullah as information secretary, Mohammad Atiq as finance secretary, Noon Sharif Muhammad Nazabat as coordinator and Jhangi Syedan Muhammad Sadiq as coordinator.

The election procedures were overseen by central general secretary Maqbool Hussain Dar, who performed the duties of election commissioner. Members at the ceremony reiterated their commitment to supporting low-income private schools and to advancing the Private Schools Network’s work across Islamabad through collective effort and community-based initiatives.
