Private Sector Housing Schemes Actively Participate in Clean and Green Islamabad Initiative

Islamabad : Housing Societies in Islamabad handed up cheques as a contribution to the Green Fund of the Capital Development Authority (CDA).

CDA Chairman Noor ul Amin introduced Clean and Green Islamabad, which has received a lot of positive feedback from the housing developments run by the private sector in Islamabad.

In this regard, the housing societies, such as Capital Enclave, CBR Private Housing Society, Makkah City, Margalla View Housing Scheme, Zaraj Housing Scheme, Bahria Town, and FECH, have actively engaged in the Green Fund by pledging a total of around 310 million rupees.

Lack of Technical Expertise in CDA Administration Raises Concerns

Other housing societies that have actively participated in the Green Fund include Bahria Town. The contributions will be put toward the acquisition of specialist vehicles for the Environment Wing and the Housing Societies Directorate.

These vehicles will include water tankers with a capacity of 12,000 liters and brand new Daewoo engines that were produced in Karachi.

The private sector housing schemes have given a positive response to the initiative taken by the Chairman of the CDA. Not only have they provided financial contributions, but they have also contributed four water bowsers and a brand new tractor.

The Chairman of the CDA extended his gratitude to the housing societies for their donations to the Green Fund as well as their dedication to ensuring that Islamabad is a city that is both clean and green.
