Chairman PM’s Youth Programme (PMYP), Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan, chaired an important meeting focused on promoting productive employment opportunities. The session was attended by key stakeholders including Ignite, the Ministry of Information Technology (MOIT), and the Pakistan Freelancers Association.
During the meeting, Chairman Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan emphasized the necessity of timely coordination among all partners and stressed that weekly follow-up meetings be regularly conducted to assess timely progress. He highlighted the pivotal role of the Digital Youth Hub and urged relevant authorities and stakeholders to encourage the registration of companies on this digital platform.
Moreover, he directed officials to expedite the establishment of 250 new e-Rozgar Centres nationwide as part of a broader initiative to augment employment opportunities in the country. These centres aim to empower youth by imparting crucial digital and freelancing skills, allowing them to participate effectively in Pakistan’s evolving economy.
In addition to promoting digital skills, Chairman Khan underscored the significance of uplifting skilled professions from all sectors, including blue-collar, white-collar, and beyond. He encouraged an inclusive approach towards professional development, ensuring wide-ranging opportunities are available for young people across diverse career paths.
