CPDI, with support from The Asia Foundation, recently held a specialized training session for prosecutors in District Nowshera, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, aimed at strengthening their ability to tackle cases of violence against women. The initiative is part of the Justice Sector Support Program, focusing on enhancing legal responses and promoting access to justice for vulnerable groups.
The training brought together assistant and deputy public prosecutors from across the district, equipping them with the knowledge and skills necessary to deal effectively with complex cases of violence against women. The sessions emphasized the importance of sensitivity, rigorous legal standards, and best practices in prosecuting such cases.
Mr. Sahibzada Suliman, Assistant Public Prosecutor, served as the Master Trainer for the program. He guided participants through various legal frameworks and practical strategies to improve the prosecution process and ensure justice for victims.
Through such capacity-building efforts, CPDI and The Asia Foundation seek to empower justice sector officials, reinforce the rule of law, and promote the protection of women’s rights. The program highlights the ongoing commitment to legal awareness and human rights across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
