The Provincial Steering Committee met at the AKS Auditorium in the P&D Board to assess progress under the United Nations Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework 2023–27 for Punjab. The session focused on measures to ensure the UNSDCF Punjab delivers on its objectives and supports the province’s Sustainable Development Goals agenda.
The meeting was chaired by Secretary P&D Board Mr Rafaqat Ali, who led discussions on improving coordination among government departments, development partners and other stakeholders. Emphasis was placed on harmonising efforts to translate UNSDCF Punjab priorities into actionable provincial plans.
Participants reviewed the current trajectory of ongoing initiatives and agreed on the need for sustained collaboration and monitoring to secure effective implementation. Strengthening institutional coordination and aligning resources with UNSDCF Punjab targets were highlighted as key steps to advance the SDGs across the province.
The PSC emphasized that continued oversight and stakeholder engagement will be essential to maintain momentum and ensure that the framework’s outcomes benefit communities throughout Punjab.
