Punjab Arts Council Rawalpindi organised a memorable Classical Music Night aimed at promoting the traditions of classical music and offering music lovers a refined cultural evening. The event brought together connoisseurs and new audiences alike, highlighting the enduring relevance of classical performance in the city.
Renowned maestros Ustad Ijaz Tokal Khan, Haider Tokal and Ali Raza Tokal delivered soulful renditions that held the audience in rapt attention, while celebrated flautist Ustad Hanif Khan added a spellbinding dimension to the programme and drew enthusiastic applause. The Classical Music Night showcased both individual mastery and a shared commitment to preserving musical heritage.
A strong turnout of classical music enthusiasts reinforced the public’s interest in traditional arts. Attendees included the family of Parliamentary Secretary for Information and Culture Shazia Rizwan, Director General Arif Malik, Bank of Punjab Manager Safwan Munir, noted calligraphers Shabbir Zia and Younis Rumi, Vice President PML-N Rawalpindi City Raja Nasir Ahmed, and Director Punjab Arts Council Rawalpindi Muhammad Shakoor, along with council officers Waqar Ali, Muhammad Zeeshan and Arsalan.
