Secretary of the Environment Protection and Climate Change Department (EP&CCD), Ms. Silwat Saeed, led a key meeting to review proposed revisions to the PC-I document for the “CM Punjab Green Credit Program,” an initiative under the Annual Development Program.
The session brought together the Project Director of the Strategic Policy & Implementation Unit (SP&IU), the Additional Secretary (Technical), the Team Lead for the Green Credit Program, and other officials. Participants focused on updating and refining the project’s components to enhance its effectiveness. They discussed adjustments needed in the project budget to ensure better allocation of resources, aiming for optimal impact.
Strengthening the project’s implementation mechanisms was also a major topic, with officials exploring ways to streamline processes and ensure efficient execution. The collaborative effort is part of Punjab’s ongoing commitment to environmental sustainability and green development in the region.
