Punjab Kabaddi Trials for National Youth Games Underway

Over 60 boys and girls from across Punjab took part in kabaddi trials held at the Elite Training Center within the Nishtar Park Sports Complex, supervised by Director General Sports Punjab Khizer Afzal Chaudhry. The trials, part of the province’s preparation for the upcoming National Youth Games in Islamabad, were overseen by a selection committee comprising Tahir Waheed Jutt, Shahid Gul, Shahid Jutt, and Raja Mumtaz.

The committee organized competitive kabaddi matches among participants to assess their abilities and select the top players. According to DG Sports Punjab Khizer Afzal Chaudhry, the trials are being conducted strictly on merit to assemble strong teams for the province.

Training camps for all sports will commence at Nishtar Sports Complex from August 22 and will continue until September 5, as the teams get ready for the first National Youth Games, which will be held in Islamabad from September 7 to 13.
