The Punjab Highway Patrol Rawalpindi Region held a solemn ceremony to honor the sacrifices of police martyrs on the occasion of Police Martyrs’ Day. The event aimed to pay tribute to the brave officers who lost their lives in the line of duty and to renew the commitment of police personnel to public service.
The day began with a Quran recitation after the morning prayers, dedicated to the memory of fallen police officers. Special prayers were also offered for the elevation of the martyrs’ ranks in the hereafter.
As part of the commemorations, patrol officers visited the grave of Shaheed ASI Sajjad Haider, a member of the Punjab Highway Patrol who was martyred while performing his duty. An honor guard from the patrol police presented a ceremonial salute at his graveside, expressing deep respect and appreciation for his service. Flowers were laid on his grave, and his family joined officers in offering prayers for his soul.
The ceremony underscored the enduring respect and gratitude the police force and community hold for those who sacrificed their lives for peace and safety.
