Kazakhstan’s Minister of Science and Higher Education Nurbek visited Quaid i Azam University in Islamabad alongside Federal Minister for Education and Vocational Training Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, where they jointly inaugurated the Al-Farabi Center.
The inauguration marked the formal opening of the Al-Farabi Center at the university, and the institution presented honorary shields to both visiting leaders in recognition of the occasion.
The Kazakh minister reflected on historical intellectual currents, saying there was once an era of Islamic revolution and that Al-Farabi held great importance for the West. He described Al-Farabi as the ‘second teacher’ after Aristotle and noted that there is considerable potential in agriculture.
Federal Minister Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui said the world is passing through a very delicate time, called the day a milestone in Pakistan and Kazakhstan relations, and underlined the need to seek further opportunities to advance bilateral ties.
The opening of the Al-Farabi Center at Quaid i Azam University is positioned to strengthen academic and research links between Pakistan and Kazakhstan and to create new avenues for collaboration in higher education and related fields.
