On the birth anniversary of the Father of the Nation, Prof. Dr. Qamar-uz Zaman, Vice Chancellor of PMAS-Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi, reflected on Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s life as a beacon of integrity, perseverance and visionary leadership. He reminded students and faculty that the principles of Unity, Faith and Discipline remain central to national progress and institutional responsibility.
The Vice Chancellor stressed that Quaid-e-Azam’s ideals must be translated into concrete action by academic institutions. PMAS-AAUR, he said, has a duty to promote quality education, research excellence and meaningful national service so that youth are equipped with both knowledge and character to serve Pakistan’s future.
Highlighting the role of universities in addressing real-world challenges, he pointed to the need for leaders and innovators who can tackle issues in agriculture, ensure food security, build climate resilience and contribute to sustainable economic growth. The Vice Chancellor emphasized that research and education in the agricultural sector are particularly crucial for Pakistan’s rural communities and national stability.
In an interview with the university’s Directorate of Public Relations & Publications he reaffirmed the institution’s pledge to nurture responsible graduates who embody the values of Quaid-e-Azam and who will work toward Pakistan’s sustainable development through scholarship and service.
