Raja Hafiz Ijaz cleared after police probe finds 3 billion fraud claim baseless and case dismissed; investigation confirms no involvement.

An Islamabad police investigation has dismissed a high-value fraud allegation against Raja Hafiz Ijaz, finding the claim of a 3 billion rupee scam to be baseless. Authorities say the inquiry exposed the true details of the transaction and established that Raja Hafiz Ijaz had no involvement.

The complaint was lodged at Shahzad Town Police Station by Syed Tauqeer Shah, a resident of Farash Town and son of Syed Sagheer Shah, who alleged he had purchased 500 kanals at Maulah Mohra Noor Islamabad for 3 billion rupees and paid in cash and vehicles but was not given possession.

Further probe showed the deal was not with Raja Hafiz Ijaz but with Muhammad Irfan Kiyani, son of Qamar Zaman from Chatha Bakhtawar. Investigators determined the agreed rate was 6 million rupees per kanal and that Syed Tauqeer Shah handed over two vehicles—a Land Cruiser Lexus valued at 12 million rupees and a Mehran worth 600,000 rupees—alongside 7.4 million rupees in cash to Muhammad Irfan Kiyani.

Police records confirm the transaction took place directly between Syed Tauqeer Shah and Muhammad Irfan Kiyani, and that Raja Hafiz Ijaz neither received money nor vehicles nor played any role in the sale. With those findings, the case against Raja Hafiz Ijaz has been dismissed and officials say the allegations have been fully disproved.

The dismissal of the complaint has cleared Raja Hafiz Ijaz of any wrongdoing and effectively ended what investigators describe as a campaign to damage his reputation. Local sources say the outcome exposes the false nature of the original accusation and vindicates his position.
