On 18 November 2025 the Controller of Examinations for the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Rawalpindi, Tanveer Asghra Awan, conducted a thorough inspection of examination centres and marking centres in Chakwal. The visit focused on exam security, seating arrangements for candidates, staff attendance and the logistics of exam material delivery to ensure smooth conduct of ongoing examinations.
During the inspections Mr Awan examined the facilities being provided to students and the procedures followed by superintendents to maintain order and transparency. The Controller emphasized that exam security remains a top priority and reiterated that any breach or procedural lapse will prompt immediate disciplinary action in line with the Government of Punjab’s zero tolerance policy on cheating.
At marking centres the Controller reviewed paper checking standards, examiner attendance records and supervision protocols designed to guarantee impartiality and accuracy in marking. Examiners were instructed to adhere strictly to prescribed guidelines, maintain high standards of confidentiality and avoid any negligence or bias in the marking process to protect the integrity of results.
The Board official underlined that maintaining a transparent and well-managed examination environment is essential for students and the broader education system. Strong measures against the cheating networks and rigorous oversight of both centre-level and marking operations form the core of ongoing efforts to reinforce exam security across the region.
Arsalan Ali Cheema, spokesperson for the Rawalpindi education board, confirmed the visit and the board’s continued commitment to uphold fair, secure and orderly examinations for all candidates.
