Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Rawalpindi announced the Matric Second Annual 2025 results on Thursday 20 November 2025 at 10:00am in a simple but dignified ceremony attended by senior board officials.
According to the released figures, 23,007 candidates submitted entries for the examination, of whom 22,865 appeared. Of those who sat the exams, 7,383 candidates passed, producing an overall pass percentage of 32.31 percent while 15,427 candidates were unsuccessful. Ninety-three candidates were recorded absent and 49 admission forms were cancelled for various reasons.
The cohort included 14,705 male candidates and 8,160 female candidates, a breakdown that mirrors growing participation by both genders in board examinations. The Rawalpindi matric results reflect these participation patterns across districts served by the board.
Tanveer Asghar Awan, Controller of Examinations, congratulated Secretary Amjad Iqbal Khattak and the entire board staff for conducting transparent exams and issuing timely results. He paid tribute to former chairman Muhammad Adnan Khan, saying the board’s shift toward a merit-based and modern exam system was shaped by Khan’s personal interest and guidance. The controller added that the prompt preparation and release of results demonstrate the board’s transparent policies and the round-the-clock efforts of its team.
Arsalan Ali Cheema, spokesperson for the education board, confirmed the official figures and noted that the results announcement marks the conclusion of this examination cycle for 2025.
