Chief Traffic Officer orders strict enforcement of the tinted window ban across Rawalpindi; remove covered papers or face legal action.

Chief Traffic Officer Farhan Aslam on 19 October 2025 directed district-wide action against vehicles fitted with black or colored paper on windows, announcing strict enforcement of the tinted window ban to safeguard security and public order.

Under a zero tolerance policy, traffic teams will remove any dark or colored paper from vehicles and initiate firm legal action without exception. The decision to enforce the tinted window ban comes from concerns over safety and the need to maintain clear visibility for both enforcement and road users.

Authorities said the measure is aimed at improving traffic flow and ensuring compliance with existing regulations. Motorists are urged to cooperate by removing any covers from vehicle windows to avoid penalties and disruptions.

Chief Traffic Officer Farhan Aslam emphasized that no excuses regarding the tinted window ban will be accepted and that enforcement will be applied uniformly across the district to preserve law and order on Rawalpindi roads.
