Rawalpindi traffic leadership directs officers to prioritize smooth flow, public convenience and courteous enforcement across the district.

Chief Traffic Officer Rawalpindi Farhan Aslam convened a comprehensive meeting at the traffic headquarters with circle, sector and duty officers along with office staff to review traffic arrangements and administrative matters across the district. The briefing focused on operational improvements, enforcement priorities and citizen service at licensing centres.

The Chief Traffic Officer instructed all personnel that Rawalpindi traffic management must place uninterrupted traffic flow and convenience for road users above all. Officers were told to adopt a simple principle of greeting citizens first and then engaging, to point out mistakes with patience and courtesy, and to keep ethics and decorum central while performing duties.

Directive guidance emphasized that challans and legal actions should be transparent and strictly in accordance with the law. Licensing centres were ordered to extend maximum facilities to visitors, and any misconduct by traffic staff—especially toward women and the elderly—will not be tolerated under any circumstances.

On enforcement, focus was placed on preventing accidents and safeguarding lives and property. Officers were instructed to apply zero tolerance for serious violations such as helmet and seatbelt non-use, one-way breaches and excessive speed, while ensuring traffic remains safe and mobile across the city.

The Chief Traffic Officer underlined that building trust between police and the public through courteous behaviour is essential. With these measures, Rawalpindi traffic authorities aim to present the district as a provincial role model by improving service, compliance and road safety for all road users.
