RCCI session tackles Industry Formalization and compliance to boost ease of doing business and sustainable industrial growth in Rawalpindi.

The Standing Committee session on industry formalization and industrial compliance convened at the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce & Industry (RCCI) today, with President Usman Shaukat presiding alongside Standing Committee Chairman Sh. Basit Ilyas. Vice President Fahad Barlas, Vice Chairman Ali Irfan Mirza, executive committee members and chamber representatives attended to address sector priorities.

Delegates examined gaps in industrial documentation and the pathways to greater Industry Formalization, emphasising clearer regulatory frameworks and practical measures to ease compliance for manufacturers and service providers. Members outlined common compliance challenges faced by local firms and discussed how streamlined procedures could improve the ease of doing business across the Rawalpindi and Islamabad industrial corridor.

Discussion centred on recommendations to strengthen industrial governance, including enhanced documentation standards, coordinated engagement with regulators and capacity building to help enterprises meet compliance requirements. Committee members highlighted the vital role of trade bodies in guiding small and medium manufacturers toward formalization as a means to sustain sector growth and attract investment.
