In a transparent and well-attended event held by the Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA), two fortunate employees were selected through a lucky draw to perform Hajj in 2026. The ceremony, aimed at promoting welfare and transparency within the organisation, took place at the RDA’s conference room under the supervision and patronage of Director General Ms. Kinza Murtaza.
The event commenced with the recitation from the Holy Quran, after which the draw was conducted for employees serving in grades 1 to 16. Two employees, Mr. Yasir Hussain, Junior Clerk (Grade 11), and Mr. Tariq Mahmood, FE Loader (Grade 5), emerged as lucky winners. Officers, colleagues, and representatives from the Collective Bargaining Agent (CBA) union congratulated both winners, wishing them a blessed pilgrimage.
Director General RDA Ms. Kinza Murtaza, addressing the staff at the ceremony, emphasized that integrity, professionalism, compliance with rules and regulations, and transparent conduct are essential for strengthening the institution. She expressed commitment to further promote transparency and welfare-oriented initiatives, which will benefit not only the employees but enhance public trust in the department as well.
Director Administration and Finance, Mr. Qazi Sohaib Ahmad, highlighted at the event that ensuring complete transparency in all organisational procedures is critical for enhancing the authority’s credibility and improving public confidence.
Additionally, Director General Ms. Murtaza announced that significant measures would soon be initiated to enhance operational efficiency, including strengthening the enforcement squad and recruiting additional security guards and surveyors for the Building Control Wing. These measures aim to further reinforce the capacity of RDA to effectively fulfil its responsibilities.
