RDA Takes Action Against 5 Illegal Housing Schemes

Rawalpindi : The Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) has taken action against illegal private housing schemes in the city. The Metropolitan Planning and Traffic Engineering Directorate of RDA has issued notices to the owners of five illegal housing schemes, including Green Lake City, Safanza New Era, Royal Ghar, New Iqra City, and Hoon Farm House.

RDA Takes Action Against Four Illegal Housing Schemes

The RDA spokesman stated that the DG RDA has directed action against illegal advertisements and marketing, and FIRs will be filed against the owners of these illegal housing schemes.

The Planning Wing of RDA is submitting applications to concerned police stations to register FIRs against the owners of these illegal housing schemes.

RDA Warns Marketing Agencies to Stop Deceiving Public with Illegal Housing Schemes

The owners and sponsors of these illegal housing schemes are misleading the public through advertisements. The Planning Wing has also requested the Cyber Crime Wing of the FIA to take legal action against these illegal and misleading advertisements to prevent the public from falling for their scams.

The owners of these illegal housing schemes have committed offences under rule 38 of Punjab Development Authorities Private Housing Schemes Rules, 2021, and are subject to penalties for illegal development.

The DG RDA has warned the public to avoid making any kind of investment in illegal and unauthorized housing schemes and advised them to check with RDA before investing in any housing scheme. This information can be verified on the RDA website.
