A comprehensive training program is underway in Punjab to improve literacy and numeracy skills among students in grades three to five. Organized by Idara-e-Taleem-o-Aagahi (ITA) in partnership with the British Council, the initiative is part of the ILMPact Project and focuses on building the capacity of educators through a six-day Master Trainer program.

The training brings together selected master trainers from the districts of Bahawalnagar, Bahawalpur, Kasur, Khanewal, Lahore, Rahim Yar Khan, and Vehari. These master trainers will go on to train teachers within their respective districts, equipping them with the necessary skills and methodologies to address learning gaps in classrooms.

The program emphasizes structured lesson planning, diagnostic assessments, and inclusive teaching strategies. The goal is to ensure that all students, regardless of background or ability, have the support they need to improve their reading, writing, and mathematical skills. By strengthening the foundational skills of both teachers and students, the program aims to make significant strides toward enhanced educational outcomes throughout Punjab.
