The Russian Foreign Ministry said the current trend toward gradual stabilization is a welcome development and urged both capitals to maintain restraint. Zakharova called on Kabul and Islamabad to resolve their differences through political and diplomatic channels rather than further military escalation.
Russia also expressed hope that constructive talks on counter-terrorism cooperation and regional security between Afghanistan and Pakistan will be restored soon, emphasising the need for sustained dialogue to prevent renewed violence along the border and to protect affected communities in the area.
