Rwanda Embassy and AMSON explore pharmaceutical investment and vaccine manufacturing in Pakistan, agreeing to a facility visit to advance collaboration.

At the Embassy of Rwanda in Islamabad, Ambassador HARERIMANA Fatou, the High Commissioner, recently met with a delegation led by Mr Noman Shamim Khan, Director of Operations at AMSON Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Company. The discussion focused on mutual interest in expanding cooperation between Rwandan diplomatic channels and Pakistani industry partners.

Officials explored potential investment opportunities in pharmaceutical production and vaccine manufacturing, noting that careful assessments will be required to evaluate feasibility and compliance. Conversations highlighted the role that strategic partnerships can play in strengthening local supply chains and in supporting the broader aims of pharmaceutical investment.

Both parties agreed to arrange a visit to AMSON’s manufacturing facility in the near future to further the dialogue and assess specific areas for collaboration. The prospective site visit is intended to provide clarity on operational capacity, quality controls and how a vaccine manufacturing partnership might be structured within Pakistan.

The meeting underlines a shared interest in deepening economic and health-sector ties, with the embassy and AMSON signalling readiness to pursue follow-up technical discussions and detailed planning related to pharmaceutical investment.
