On 01st December 2025 the Rwanda High Commission in Pakistan presented Rwanda’s tourism, culture and investment opportunities at the Global Destinations Expo, organised by Discover Pakistan in collaboration with the Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation.
The inauguration saw Amb. Fatou HARERIMANA, Rwanda’s High Commissioner to Pakistan, receive the Special Exhibitor Award, presented by the Coordinator to the Prime Minister on Tourism – Pakistan, who also served as the event’s Chief Guest.
The recognition underlines Rwanda tourism’s growing visibility in Pakistan and reflects stronger engagement between Rwandan representatives and Pakistani tourism stakeholders. Visitors to the Islamabad event were shown cultural offerings, travel experiences and investment potential aimed at building links between the two countries.
Rwanda’s participation at the Global Destinations Expo reinforces opportunities for bilateral collaboration through platforms such as PTDC and Discover Pakistan, and signals an increasing focus on promoting Rwanda tourism to Pakistani travellers and investors.
