Rawalpindi Women University (RWU) celebrated Pakistan’s 78th Independence Day with enthusiasm and patriotic spirit. The event featured a series of activities highlighting national pride, unity, and the country’s recent achievements.
The ceremony commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by the hoisting of the national flag to the sound of the anthem, accompanied by a ceremonial guard of honour. The campus echoed with the spirited slogan “Pakistan Hamesha Zindabad,” sung by students and faculty alike, reinforcing a sense of national solidarity.
This year’s Independence Day carried special significance, coinciding with the nation’s victory in Marka-e-Haq, also known as the “Battle of Truth.” The occasion was used to emphasize themes of resilience, justice, and unity. Students performed national songs, adding to the patriotic ambiance, and a special prayer was offered for the country’s continued development and prosperity.
The RWU campus was decorated in green and white lights to reflect the joy of freedom and national pride. The celebrations concluded with a cake-cutting ceremony, where faculty, staff, and students gathered together, sharing a renewed commitment to the country and its future.
