Rawalpindi Women University (RWU) recently conducted its first-ever Review of Institutional Performance and Enhancement (RIPE), a comprehensive internal evaluation designed to assess and enhance institutional effectiveness and quality assurance according to Pakistan’s Higher Education Commission (HEC) standards.
The RIPE evaluation thoroughly reviewed RWU’s Institutional Performance Report (IPR) in line with the 16 quality standards outlined by the Pakistan Standards Guide (PSG-2023) developed by HEC. This rigorous assessment marks a key milestone in RWU’s ongoing commitment to meeting national standards and promoting an environment of continuous improvement.
The review panel overseeing the process comprised respected academicians and quality assurance experts from various reputable institutions. External members of the panel included Prof. Dr. Rehmat Ellahi from International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI), Dr. Syed Hussain Mustafa Gillani from Kohsar University, and Mr. Hamayoun Awan from Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU). They were joined by internal experts from RWU, namely Prof. Dr. Rooh ul Amin and Prof. Dr. Zaman Ashraf.
During the RIPE process, the panel employed diverse and comprehensive evaluation techniques such as detailed document analysis, interactive sessions with university stakeholders, and extensive consultative discussions. The utilization of these evaluation strategies underscored RWU’s dedication to transparency and stakeholder involvement.
The successful conclusion of this pioneering RIPE evaluation attests to the RWU’s unwavering resolve toward continuous institutional enhancement, sustained academic excellence, and robust institutional accountability. Through this initiative, RWU has demonstrated its commitment to maintaining and surpassing rigorous quality standards, laying a strong foundation for future growth and educational excellence.
