Rawalpindi Women University has announced the appointment of Prof. Dr. Bushra Mirza as its new Vice Chancellor, welcoming back one of its distinguished alumnae to lead the institution. Dr. Mirza brings with her an impressive academic background and a wealth of leadership experience in higher education.
Dr. Bushra Mirza holds a PhD from the University of Cambridge in the United Kingdom and has completed postdoctoral research at the University of North Carolina, United States. She has previously held prominent positions as Vice Chancellor at Lahore College for Women University and is currently serving as Vice Chancellor at Fatima Jinnah Women University.
Throughout her career, Dr. Mirza has been recognized with several prestigious honors, including the Pride of Performance, Tamgha-e-Imtiaz, the Pakistan Academy of Sciences Gold Medal, and the Higher Education Commission’s Best Young Research Scholar Award.
Dr. Mirza is known for her commitment to academic excellence, women’s empowerment, research, and community engagement.
