Saudi Pakistan Reach Hajj 2026 Agreement

Saudi and Pakistan signed a formal Hajj 2026 agreement in Jeddah to finalise arrangements and services for Pakistani pilgrims.

9 November 2025 — Saudi Arabia and Pakistan have concluded a formal agreement on arrangements and services for Hajj 2026, signed in Jeddah by Dr. Abdul Fattah bin Sulaiman Al-Mashat, Saudi Deputy Minister of Hajj and Umrah, and Dr. Syed Ata-ur-Rehman, Federal Secretary for Religious Affairs of Pakistan.

The signing ceremony was attended by Saudi Ambassador to Pakistan Nawaf bin Saeed Al-Maliki, Director General Hajj Jeddah Abdulwahab Soomro, Director Hajj Makkah Azizullah Khan, Director Hajj Madinah Zia-ur-Rehman, Deputy Secretary Hajj Policy Chaudhry Kashif Hussain and representatives of HOAP, the body representing private Hajj companies.

Federal Secretary Dr. Syed Ata-ur-Rehman expressed gratitude for the Saudi government’s hospitality and the services planned for the pilgrims, saying Pakistani Hajjis will again receive high-standard facilities during Hajj 2026. He reaffirmed the Ministry of Religious Affairs’ commitment to complete arrangements for both government and private schemes in a timely and effective manner in line with Saudi guidance.

Both sides underlined continued coordination to finalise operational details and ensure smooth implementation of the Hajj 2026 plan for Pakistani pilgrims.
