The School Education and Literacy Department of Sindh held a high-level meeting to address proposals for the transfer and posting of staff based on operational needs under the STR Phase-II initiative. The discussions focused on three key districts: Khairpur, Sukkur, and Ghotki.
The meeting was chaired by Sayed Junaid Ahmed, Special Secretary of the department, and brought together senior officials including Director General (Monitoring & Evaluation) Mr. Moula Bakhsh Shaikh, Additional Secretary (Secondary) Mr. Ghulam Akbar Brahmani, and Mr. Kishore Kumar, Director of HR&T. Other notable participants included Mr. Ghazi Khan Mahar, Deputy Director; Farrukh Warsi, Deputy Director HRMIS; Mr. Madan Lal, Deputy Director, HRMIS; and the Directors of School Education for both the Secondary and Primary sectors in the Sukkur region. District Education Officers (DEOs) from both secondary and primary levels in Sukkur, Khairpur, and Ghotki were also in attendance.
During the meeting, held in the committee room of the School Education & Literacy Department (SE&LD), participants evaluated current staffing needs and reviewed proposals aimed at optimizing the allocation of teaching and administrative personnel. The proposed transfers and postings are intended to address disparities in staff distribution, improve educational outcomes, and ensure that schools in all three districts are adequately staffed.
The deliberations form part of the broader STR Phase-II program, which seeks to strengthen school management and enhance the quality of education across Sindh. The department’s focus remains on transparency, merit, and the strategic placement of skilled staff to areas where they are needed most.
Officials affirmed their commitment to fair processes and considered a range of data and monitoring reports to inform their decisions. The outcomes of the meeting are expected to result in more balanced staffing, contributing to the department’s mission of improving education standards in the targeted districts.
