School Wellbeing Research Presented by RWU at TU Berlin

Ms. Kainat, a lecturer from the Department of Sociology at Rawalpindi Women University, has brought international recognition to her institution by representing it at an esteemed scientific gathering in Germany. She participated in the International Scientific Conference “School Wellbeing from a Child-Centred Perspective,” hosted by Technische Universität Berlin.

During the conference, Ms. Kainat presented her research titled “Children’s Understanding of their Self-Well-Being in Pakistan,” sharing valuable insights into how Pakistani children perceive their own well-being. Her work was well-received among the global academic community and contributed to deeper discussions about child well-being in diverse contexts.

In addition to presenting her research, Ms. Kainat co-chaired a session focused on “School Well-being from an International Perspective.” This role highlighted her leadership and expertise, allowing her to collaborate with international peers and broaden the discussion around students’ welfare in schools worldwide.

Ms. Kainat is also an engaged member of the International Society for Child Indicators (ISCI), strengthening her connections with scholars and practitioners in the child welfare field. Her active participation in this network reflects her ongoing commitment to academic excellence and international collaboration in the field of child well-being and sociology.
