Deputy Secretary General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), Ahmad Saidmurodzoda, and Mohamed Shaikh, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to China, held talks in Beijing to discuss ongoing and future cooperation initiatives between Bahrain and the SCO.
The meeting, held at the SCO Secretariat, focused on the current status and future prospects of collaboration following Bahrain’s designation as an SCO Dialogue Partner in 2023. Both sides exchanged views on how to further enhance relations within the framework of the organization.
Special emphasis was placed on the implementation of the Memorandum that formalized Bahrain’s Dialogue Partner status, as well as the Roadmap outlining steps to expand cooperation between SCO member states and dialogue partners. The two officials expressed mutual interest in deepening engagement across priority areas and leveraging the strengthened ties to promote regional cooperation.
The conversation highlighted the shared commitment to advancing Bahrain’s participation in SCO initiatives and further consolidating the partnership under the agreed framework.
