In Lahore, Secretary Health and Population Department Ms. Nadia Saquib convened a meeting to assess progress under the Expanded Programme on Immunization across Punjab. The review focused on current vaccination campaigns and efforts to reach every eligible child in the province.
Director EPI Punjab Dr. Samra Khurram updated the meeting on ongoing outreach activities, vaccine coverage figures and operational challenges faced in different districts. The briefing highlighted areas where additional support is needed to sustain momentum in routine immunization and targeted drives.
Secretary Nadia Saquib stressed the imperative of meeting provincial immunization targets and ensuring the timely vaccination of all eligible children. She directed concerned officers to enhance field monitoring, strengthen coordination at the district level and improve cold chain management to safeguard vaccine potency and delivery across Punjab.
