The Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony has finalized the results of the Annual National Competition for Seerat books, Naats (poetry in praise of the Prophet), and research articles. Outstanding contributors to Seerat literature will be honored with awards during the upcoming International Seerat-un-Nabi Conference.

An official spokesperson confirmed that the awards will be presented on 12th Rabi-ul-Awwal, coinciding with the International Seerat-un-Nabi Conference. The decision was taken at a recent meeting of the Apex Committee, chaired by Professor Dr. Sahibzada Sajid ur Rehman and attended by leading academics and Islamic scholars including Dr. Riaz Majeed, Dr. Yousaf Farooqi, Dr. Muhammad Sajjad, Dr. Ikram ul Haq Yasin, Dr. Mohyuddin Hashmi, Dr. Muhammad Ilyas, Dr. Feroz ud Din Shah, and Dr. Munazza Batool.

During the meeting at the Ministry of Religious Affairs, the committee reviewed the initial results submitted by the judges’ panel. These results were based on careful evaluation and recommendations regarding submissions in various categories. This year, the competition received a total of 142 entries in Seerat and Naat books, as well as religious magazines, written in Urdu, regional, and other foreign languages.

In addition, 107 research articles were submitted by male and female writers on the topic “The State’s Role in Promoting Beneficial Use of Social Media in Education and Training – In the Light of Seerat-un-Nabi.” After a thorough assessment, the Apex Committee finalized the list of award winners.

The Ministry has continued its long-standing tradition of publishing the best research articles and distributing them to educational institutions and renowned libraries across the country. This effort aims to provide academic guidance on contemporary issues through the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad.
