The STEAM Policy Unit Sindh held a meeting with the Secretary of the School Education and Literacy Department (SE&LD) to discuss decisions related to the 7th Stocktake and measures to recognise top-performing schools and districts in the STEAM program. The session centred on concrete steps to strengthen implementation and visibility of the STEAM Policy across the province.
The Secretary directed the STEAM Policy Unit to announce performance-based incentives for best-performing schools in the STEAM program and asked that the highest achievers be featured on SE&LD social media pages to showcase good practice and motivate wider participation. This guidance ties recognition to measurable performance under the STEAM Policy framework.
The policy unit provided a briefing on proposed training-related allocations within the CPD component of the STEAM budget, emphasising targeted professional development to support teachers and school leaders. These allocations under the STEAM Policy are intended to build capacity and ensure sustainable delivery of STEAM activities at the school level.
Officials also discussed the timeline for STEAM Muqablo 2025-26, the competition for post-primary schools, agreeing to coordinate dates and communication so schools can prepare effectively. The conversation highlighted the role of competitive events in driving student engagement with STEAM subjects.
Appreciation letters and certificates for top-performing schools and districts were confirmed as part of the recognition package, reinforcing a balanced approach of incentives and acknowledgement under the STEAM Policy to encourage improved learning outcomes across Sindh.
