The five-day training of trainers on interagency GBV case management guidelines concluded on 14 November 2025 at Beach Luxury, Karachi, with a closing ceremony marking the completion of an intensive capacity building effort. The programme brought together representatives from the Sindh Women Development Department (WDD), international NGOs, local NGOs and community-based organisations from across the province to strengthen coordinated response mechanisms.
Organised with technical support from UNFPA Pakistan and SPO and implemented in collaboration with Sindh WDD, the training received financial backing from FCDO under the Aawaz-II programme. The curriculum focused on practical application of the GBV case management guidelines to improve survivor-centred services and enhance interagency coordination at district and provincial levels.
Participants undertook assessments throughout the week and were awarded Tier 1 and Tier 2 certifications based on detailed feedback and evaluation by the training team. These certifications are intended to certify readiness to apply GBV case management approaches in their respective organisations and communities, supporting sustained improvements in service delivery across Sindh.
Mr. Golden Mulilo, Head of Sindh Office at UNFPA, delivered the closing remarks, urging stakeholders to sustain the momentum created by the training and underscoring the importance of self-care for professionals working in GBV response. He congratulated the cohort on their new responsibilities and encouraged ongoing collaboration between government bodies and civil society.
The event concluded with participant feedback that reflected strong motivation to advance GBV case management work and appreciation for the trainers’ guidance and cooperation. Organisers expressed confidence that the newly certified trainers will play a key role in expanding survivor-focused services and strengthening coordination across Sindh.
